A weekly storytime program called the “Wednesday Morning Storytime” met for the first time on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018. After a couple of weeks, the library found a time scheduling conflict with those who wanted to attend. It was decided to change the meeting time to 10 am to 10:30 am. This program will meet every Wednesday morning, except during the weeks of the summer reading program. Sue Bartley, Assistant Librarian, is in charge of the program. She will be reading a couple of books to the kids, and leading them in singing a song or two. The kids will be doing a simple craft that they can take home. Children will be encouraged to check out a couple of books at the end of each storytime session. Children should be registered & accompanied by an adult during storytime at the Library. Please make sure your child has a library card in good standing (meaning no overdue books, or fines). If your child doesn’t already have a library card, we will need a parent’s ID (such as a driver’s license) & proof of address (such as a utility bill) to get that paperwork done. See the Washington Public Library’s Facebook page for pictures taken & a list of actives from previous storytimes.
